Hi, Bruce, you described Tai Chi hand as empty hand. How does an empty hand feel? When I practice Tai Chi, I feel Chi in my hands most of the time and sometimes lots of Chi. Does that mean my hands are not empty? If so, how can I empty my hands in Tai Chi practice? Another question is what does empty hand achieve? If I cannot make my hands empty, what do I miss?
Thanks a lot!
The making the hand
empty is developed by letting go of all tension and strength within the hands while
you are doing your Tai Chi form. Completely releasing and relaxing the hands,
so qi can pass smoothly through the hands.
Kind regards,
Energy Arts Team
Thanks for the response. How does an empty hand feel? Does it feel qi flow?
