AnonymousGuestIt was quite a few years ago but I recall that Bruce once did an interview in a magazine (not sure which one) and included was a black and white portrait of Liu Hung Chieh as a young man with black hair. I took the page out and hung it on my wall much in the same way pictures of older masters were hung at the Kung Fu school I used to go to. Over time I lost the picture so I was wondering if anyone could link to a scan of it. Google searches for “Liu Hung Chieh” come up only with pics of him as a much older man. Can anyone help?

AnonymousGuestIt’s in the very beginning of Bruce’s book, The Great Stillness.
Though I’d encourage buying it, if you go to the book’s Amazon page and click on the “Look Inside!” function for previewing the book it’s the third page in.July 8, 2015 at 9:10 pm #135205
AnonymousGuestYou’ll find one too in the beginning of ‘The Tao of letting go’.

AnonymousGuestThanks for the quick reply! I feel extremely silly that I actually have a copy of that book. I just dug it out of the closet and there he was! It is the exact picture that was in the magazine.
Thanks again!

AnonymousGuestThis makes me think, I’d really like to see a biography of Liu Hung Chieh get made.
Heck, even an article would be pretty interesting; life of a Spiritual Immortal.
That’s gotta be worth something. - AuthorPosts
