Mary has practiced Taoist Internal Arts for more than 35 years. She began her studies with Master Frantzis in the mid-1980’s, practicing Bagua Chang. When he settled in California, Mary moved there to be his teaching assistant. She was the first person certified by Master Frantzis to teach the Wu Style Tai Chi Long Form.
Mary taught Tai Chi, Chi Gung, and meditation in New York City, Berkeley, and at the Center for International Medicine and Aikido Institute, both in Oakland, California. In 2000, she returned to her home state of Minnesota, where she offers private instruction.
A veteran school teacher, Mary has developed meditation and Chi Gung programs for young people on the Autism Spectrum and with ADHD and other neurological differences.
Mary holds a B.A. in visual arts from Bennington College and teaching certification from Dominican College of San Rafael. She studied Chinese language at Hunter College and Taiwan National Normal University.
