I think it would be pretty interesting. IME when people “teach” this it is usually via “pointing out instructions” Apparently transmission is possible as well, but most people cant [un]do the former anyways. I remember reading that in the 1960’s when a number of Tibetan Buddhist teachers starting coming to the West they tried teaching Dzogchen or Mahamudra, but people couldnt get it, or pretty much any meditation practice for that matter. I’ve read elsewhere, for example Ken Wilber, that teachers often want proficiency over more basic material first as a test or check of the intentions of the student, ie that they arent intending to use their newfound abilities/awarenesses for “bad” purposes.
