Hello to everyone who may read this.

I have a general question about nei gung, and, more specifically, about the spinal component.

I have some quite formidable blockages in the spine (nothing unusual I’m sure), of which I have become aware, and started working on, through chi gung. I have attended several trainings with our highly esteemed teacher, and have been practicing every day throughout that time, which is approximately four years. I have found that these blockages are the most stuuborn SOBs that I could imagine, and sometimes feel I have made no inroads into them, and cannot even foresee their resolution. Has anyone else had this experience?

Chripractic and osteopathic practitioners claim to acheive these desired results in a fraction of the time. Are these treatments a short cut to chi gung training?

Hi i have had some experience and i will say that when ur bones become aligned the energy will flow well and heal some things within you. It definitley can help with chi gung as it improves your nervous system as the signals can run more freely, hence you will be able to “feel” more when doing energy practices which is major part of dissolving.
But in regards to inner dissolving the blockages and qigong practice, they aren’t really the same thing. Although you will be able to feel moer things with chiropractic treatment you haven’t built up the strength and chi in your system so you may be more sensitive which has good and bad points. The bad being you are more prone to negative energies since you havent done chi gung and energy practices to build up the foundation of worknig with energy and building up strength of your energy. Also since normally the qi can snap bones into place it only happens in chi gung when the qi flow is strong and large enough so it can do that, so if you do chiropractic treatment to move your bones into place you need to do exercise and chigung to maintain the alignment. Since your energy wasn’t the thing that made the bone snap into place you have to consistenly do chi gung or some physical exercise to prevent the bone from misaligning again.
With chi gung the energy would be strong enough to prevent the bone from easily misaligning.
Overall if u do u have formidable blockages in spine i think going to a good chiropractor will be very good as it can accelerate your progess in chi gung by giving you a head start/boost to feeling your energy (so it will be easier to be calm and relaxed and all that) AS LONG as you maintain regular practice and or exercise so you can keep on improving.
Its sort of the same thing with Traditional Chinese medicine acupuncture massage herbs… it all can help greatly in qigong practice if something as if u arent that proficient at qigong or just starting out (seeing as there are still large blockages to eliminate). These treatment modalities for can sort out a beginning or stuck practitioners’ physical problems a lot more quickly than qigong can, (especially if you got quite a deficiency in organ, say kidneys) so that u can really get into the mind and spiritual practice

Ok, great, you sound as if you know what you’re on about.

Perhaps I should have framed the question in a different way. You say that the qi can snap the bones back into place? As well as chiropractic etc.?

Also, if this is true, and the body being thoroughly interconnected as it is, if you dissolve and re-align your body, how do these re-alignments become completed in the head, seeing as the skull joints are only minutely flexible, becoming less so with age?
