Does anyone on this board have any idea on how I can breathe INTO a movement, to make that movement more fluid, relaxed. Also, how I can breathe to sink the chi into my dantiem area (lower belly) — or is the actual goal to sink the chi down into the floor, past your feet?)
What can I say, I’m a Tai Chi newbie, lol.

    Hi,

the simplest way to work with the breath is to allow it to follow the movements as it will, not trying to force any particular synchronization, As your body opens up the movements will naturally start to open and close your thorax and the breath will move as it needs too.

Effective ways to sink chi into the dan tien include outer dissolving and standing in Tai Chi postures for extended periods of time.
