    Hello all,

At one time I was deeply into Tai Chi and Bagua, but let my practice go over the last 7 years. I hope to find the passion I once had to train twice daily, or even once daily at this point. I was fortunate to be part of an outstanding group of practitioners in NYC during my formative years 2000-2010 and even met Bruce in SoHo about 10 years ago after one of his lectures.

My influences at first were direct disciples of Professor Cheng Man Ching (Maggie Newman and Ken Van Sickle) and the entire crew of push hands partners on Sundays at Maggie’s studio. Later as my martial power grew I trained and was deeply influenced by Joe Zeisky from whom I will forever remember as an alien from the planet of bagua, a physical genius with enormous martial power, Joe taught me how to balance the yin of Professors Yang style with the yang of true martial power. WOW, those were some amazing times.

Alas, I still carry the embers of the flame that once burned so bright and hope I can stoke the fires of old. Its a little hard being in the Bay Area as I haven’t found the type of passionate people for the art as we had in NYC, but perhaps I can keep searching for some peers/teachers while I take it upon myself to re-start my art.

My goals are simple, re-discover my connection with the Tao thru the best tool I have ever found to do so. Tai Chi/Bagua/Hsing-i

Kind regards to Bruce and all of my peers on this journey,

    Marcos
