    good day everyone,

with bruce’s new book, “taoist sexual meditation,” out, as is the bonus Q&A, seems like a good time to get deeper in to comments on both vasectomy & viagra. what is a taoist position, or positions, on these two subjects. vasectomy was brought up on one of the other posts, however, with very little resopnse. please contribute…

    cheers,

    daniel

    hi daniel
im not sure of the classic taoist position, but im guessing there isn’t really one, I dont think anyone 100 years ago was familiar with either ot these western medical/drug methods, so it would be hard for them to have experienced it in order to understand it.

what I do know regarding viagra is that the porn industry uses it quite a bit, but it’s considered to lower the quality of the work, because the person is not actually aroused, they have a boner, but the rest of the energy flow of sex isn’t also stimulated. it’s also hard on the liver, and it’s a pallative medication, it’s not actually helping you heal your hormones.

ill go out on a limb and guess that they might suggest using some herbs that support good sexual funciton rather than artificually stumulating it.

or really, just train a lot of bagua, particularly the wind palm. at least, in my case, it puts me in the place where im needing the opposite of viagra…:-) bruce mentioned this effect during wind palm.
bagua is an excellent training method for chi development, particularly the yang energies.
ive also heard of positive effects coming from bend the bow, getting the “boner” back on line.

    don’t know about vasectomies…

    hope this helps…

I agree with Richard. The effects of Viagra is temporary, and oftentimes negative. My friend who’s a recovering porn addict under the GreatnessAhead therapy program suffered greatly from erectile dysfunction. He was into Viagra and porn since high school. It shattered his life and almost lost his marriage. Aside from the therapy program he’s in, he’s also into meditative treatment of ED.

Due to following an abrhamic religion in my 20’s, and a terrible marriage I didn’t enjoy as much sex in my 20’s as I would like.

Now I’m in my 30’s and I’m saddened to learn that my testosterone will naturally decline, which will lead to a drop in virility.

It was good to read that Bagua can help with maintaining or improving virility.

Does anyone know what other chi kung or art has those benefits?
